PURPOSE: Throughout the year, EDUCATE congregation about Democrat and Republican policies and EMPOWER each member to educate his/her family, relatives, and friends. Increase voter registration and turn out.

FOCUS AREAS

 

  • Under “VOTE 100%” theme, encourage every church member of legal voting age to vote in every local, state and federal election.

 

  • Empower each member to become an agent of change by educating his/her family, relatives & friends.

 

  • Implement ON-GOING Voter Registration Program throughout the year for members, their families and friends.

 

  • Identify persons who have Voter ID issues. Help them to register using church as a base of operation.

 

  • Develop list for those needing transportation to polls. Through church members, organize transportation to polls.

Action Steps

 

  • Vote for party that supports your values and interests

 

  • Vote for your party in every Local, State, and Federal Election. Key Focus = Midterm Elections.

 

  • Financially support your party with donations to counter-balance billionaires/millionaires’ advertising influence. 

 

  • Financially support your party’s candidates in other states so that your party controls the US Congress.

 

  • Make sure your party controls the Governorship and State Legislature during census years because congressional boundary lines are redrawn by the Governor and his/her party.

 

  • College Students Registered in Davidson County. Vote at normal polling place using driver license and photo ID.

 

  • College Students Registered In Counties Other Than Davidson. Vote at your polling place of registration using driver license as photo ID OR Vote by “absentee ballot” if you initially registered and voted “in-person”. Ballot is secured from your county of registration.

 

  • College Student Registered In a State Other Than Tennessee. Vote by “absentee ballot”. Secure from your State of registration.

 

  • Stay active and vote in every election.

 

  • On a continuous basis, EDUCATE AND EMPOWER all family members, relatives and friends to REGISTER AND VOTE in every election.
