Pastor Kenneth Phillips - Minister of Evangelism

 

A native of Nashville, Tennessee and son of Reverend Walter Phillips Sr. of Columbus, Georgia and Mary T. Walton of Nashville, TN. He received his education in the Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County School system. Pastor Kenneth Santonia Phillips earned his B.A. degree in Pastoral Ministry from Emmanuel Theological Seminary in May of 1993. In May of 2013, Pastor Phillips received his Masters of Divinity Degree from Emmanuel Theological Seminary of Nashville, TN. Under the leadership of our beloved Bishop Michael L. Graves, Pastor Phillips served as pastor of the Faith United Church (formerly a mission church of the Temple Church). In 1989 -1994 he served as pastor of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church of Chapel Hill, Tennessee. Currently he serves as Pastor of Evangelism and Outreach at Temple Baptist Church. Pastor Kenneth Phillips has also served as a Youth Counselor, Choir Director, New Members Decision Counselor and Bible Study Facilitator. He has recorded with Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir, Reverend Lawrence Thomison, and the Baptist Missionary & Educational Choir (B.M. &E. Mass Choir). Pastor Phillips is married to Vileta A. Phillips and they have three children, Kenneth Harvell, Kennan Dwayne and Angelique Danielle.
